RFID Based Bale Dispatch Validation System
A gate-based validation concept that checks whether the bale being loaded is authorised for the dispatch and alerts the forklift operator when an incorrect tag is detected.
Validate the right bale at the point of loading
When multiple tagged bales are loaded into a container, the validation point needs to work with the real forklift workflow rather than depend on a manual checklist.
The proposed system uses a controlled scanning gate so the system can determine whether the detected bale tag matches the dispatch selection and immediately signal the operator.
Scan → compare → permit or alert
The system is designed around a simple operator decision: the selected bale is permitted; a wrong bale is clearly flagged before it becomes a dispatch mistake.
Designed for the physical loading environment
- UHF RFID reader and antenna arrangement
- Industrial data processing / control unit
- Area / presence sensing
- Operator status indicators
- Audible alarm and power architecture
- Portable reader for supporting identification workflows
Move dispatch validation to the gate
Instead of relying entirely on memory or paperwork, the validation logic sits at the physical point where the bale enters the container.
This creates a clear foundation for later integration with dispatch, inventory or ERP records.
